I have a gas water heater that's about 9 years old. The anoid was replaced about 4 month ago to eliminate a 'raw egg' odor. But I continue to have have a severe rumbling every time a faucet, toilet, dishwasher or washing machine is used. It's just when something is first turned on. I've tried draining the heater several times over the past several months (and I seem to get lots of sediment out). The rumbling lessens but never goes away completely, and returns in intensity within a month. Do I need a new water heater? Am I going to wake up one day with a flooded basement and/or no hot water? Thanks for any feedback. |
