One question will help you decide. The pump puts out a fairly powerful stream of water. If the 2" drain gets blocked by lint or something, guess where that water will come out? Use the 4" drain.
: i'm in the process of finishing my basement which will include a below septic level bathroom. having never done plumbing work of any type before, i'm gonna get real brave and tackle this project myself. just got one question which is in regards to the 2" discharge line from the sewage ejector pump: do i need to wye into the 4" soil stack or can i utilize a capped wye fitting in a 2" drain line directly above the pit? i believe this line is the drain for my washing machine. going directly to the 4" soil stack would not be a big problem, but using the 2" line would be much easier.
