So the clog is really with the washer drain before it meets the other.... why not take the trap off the washer drain, and then you could have an easy place to snake ....?: our upstairs kitchen sink and our downstairs washer outlet pipe meet and then go into our septic tank. We : seem to have a clog somewhere between the area where they meet. The upstairs sink drains fine, but when the washer : empties, the water gushes out of the outlet pipe . We have tried drano etc., no luck. My next attempt is to snake the pipe : but can't seem to get the snake past the trap of the washer outlet pipe. My question is, should I attempt to snake the : pipe that comes down from the kitchen sink ? There is a joint pipe in our garage where the kitchen sink : drains into and then makes a right angle to meet up with the washer outlet pipe. I think the clog is in this area. Any suggestions???
