|In response to Re: smells from basement floor darins|
I live in a 124 year old farm house which the bathroom was added in 1944. We had the same problem and had to backhoe our front yard to find the tanks. We pumped the tanks and augered out all the roots in the clay tile for 300 feet and still had the smell. I located a drain in the basement I was not aware of and have been regularly adding a gallon of water every 3 or so months. The smell has not returned in over 2 years. Good luck...
: : I have a 22 year old home with a spetic system(arobic with upflow and jet pump) haven't had it pumped for 15yrs, started smelling bad smell from two basement floor darins, had system pumped and after a week + after shower/and a bath smeem to smell this smell again from floor darins in home.....help, thanking you in advance..
: Check the floor drain traps for water. You must have a "plug" of water in the trap to stop sewer gases coming back
