You should check the rough-in dimensions for the tub you wish to use. They are normally 14 1/2" X 1" but it depends on the actual tub you use. : My basement is roughed in for a full bathroom. The bathtub drain is in the corner of two poured foundation walls, 10 inches from one wall and 18.5 inches from the other. : On the 18.5-inch side, I can frame a conventional wall that leaves me with the 15 inches required for a standard tub. : My question is how close to the drain on the 10-inch should I frame the other wall?
