This is to Lloyd Ballard.
In your follow up tp Dave and Cindy Nester, you mentioned you had a blow out in the toilet bowl delivery system. Was it actually a ruptured line from the shut off valve to the tank, or did the shut off valve spindle break?
I have a house built in 1988. The pipes coming out of the wall in the bathroom are copper, with Qest shut off valves. We have not experienced any leakages untill last evening.
The shut off handle of the spindle of the Qest valve broke broke off. It was connected by only two skinny moon shaped pieces. I bought a replacement Qest valve, which had a stronger spindle. As I have several other Qest valves I decided to replace them all.
The next one I looked at had an even stronger handle to spindle connection.
Have you had any experince with these valves and there various spindle designs?
