We did not receive any information on the disposal so I have no idea what type of guarantee comes with this model. I had an Insinkerator disposal in our old house and I know some have 2-year, 5-year and better warranties, also some of them are "in-home" service during the warranty period.

We are presently experiencing a problem with this one; it takes an abnormal amount of time for it to grind up the food put in it, especially orange and/or lemmon peels. It used to be in a matter of only a few seconds it was all ground up and washed away. We do not grind bones of any type in it, usually only fruit and vegetable reels and left-overs.

I'd appreciate any information you can furnish me regarding the disposal,preferably, if it is still under warranty and/or what I may be able to do to fix it.
