: One more question for the day. When my shower is running, the pipes make a whistling sound. I can make the sound stop by pushing the diverter knob down slightly. Is this a problem with the supply lines or the faucet itself? I am remodeling and don't want to have the same problem with the new faucet. Humming pipes are usually caused by something vibrating loosely in the water flow, such as a washer thats not seated properly. Since you are replacing the valve with a new one, the problem should disappear as long as the shower riser and showerhead are also being replaced. -Aros |
