Any professional who attempted to repair a leaky water heater would be a con artist or incompetent. The labor cost of disassembling it, repiring it if posssible and then putting it back together would be much more than a new water heater. : My gas water heater is probably about 10-15 yrs. old : and it now drips out the bottom I've discovered. I can't : tell the origin of the leak so my question is should I : attempt repair with a professional or just have a new : one installed?
