: : My husband and I are buying a 70 year old home. The bathroom is small, has a tub, but no shower. We want to add a shower head, but there are complications. (1)The tub is along the outside wall and there is a window above the tub. (2) Above the faucet end of the tub is a storage cupboard built into the wall. The door of the cupboard is flush with the wall and immediately above the faucets. We would like to save the cupboard because it offers the only storage in the bathroom. Any suggestions on adding a shower head and still protecting the window and the cupboard from water damage?
: Yes, put storage above the tank of the toilet. Add a cabinet with mirrors above the lav. Replace the sink cabinet with the kind that comes with a lower slide-out drawer below the fittings for the sink. Replace the window with a vinyl frame, tempered glass and either tile or marble up to it, caulk it good. Terry
