In response to Re: Plumbing an Island sink
: I'm going to install an island sink in my kitchen. I'd like to know how to VENT the sink. I have all the necessary utilities available in the location but need an idea on how to vent the sink. This a remodel and would like not to destroy to many walls in the process. Thanks, Richard in Cailfronia

the best way to do a island vent is to run 2 in pipe to the kit and about 4 feet before you turn up,throw off a 2 in wye make sure to roll it up above the drain line and bring it into the wall as well, that will be your vent. on the drain, bring it to hight, usually about 14.5 in from the rough floor put a 2*2*1.5 tee on go up 6in obove your flood point and install a 2 in 90., loop it over and back down that is called an island vent.
