If the drain from the wall is a 1-1/2" pipe, you can add another basin, using one p-trap for both, much like the drain setups for two basin kitchen sinks. The water supplies can be tee'ed and used for both faucets.

: Want to add a second sink, but want it to be 36 to 40 inches from existing sink. Prefer to not get into the plumbing in the wall. Can I do this?
