Galvanized water lines may last 40 years. If you don't want to dig up the landscaping, there is the option of digging a hole near the home and one near the meter, and boring the hole for the new line. Plumbing contractors have access to the rental of these machines. If you have copies of your old water bills, that may help in regard to the city utility. Good luck on your new plumbing project.
: Hi, can you please tell me how long can a galvanized pipe going from the cub to you meter can last?
