up flush toliet system

hi, we are planning to put a bathroom in our basement and it will be positioned at the opposite end to where the main drain pipe is. The contractor suggested an upflush toliet system which I had never heard of. He says a tank is buried underneath the floor, below the toliet and when you flush it goes to this tank. After a certain number of flushes it is automatically pumped over to the drain pipe. Please tell me what you know about this system and if you would recommend it. Thanks, Shirley
