Trap lead cap is stuck

Our toilet is clogged up. I went under the house to remove the lead cap to see whats happening. The cap closet to the cesspool was hard to get off. When we flushed there was no water flow. I then tried to remove the cap closest to the toilet. I tried but nothing happened. I started with an open wrench and then graduated to a 24 inch pipe wrench. Nada! Would'nt budge. I tried heating the cap up with a torch, still nothing. And then i tried hitting and tapping. Any suggestions???????? Would it be easier to put a snake down the toilet and snake it through until it hits the trap and then not even have to worry about removing the stuck lead cap? Thanks Barry
