Josh:If it's a major issue, consider using a section of service weight cast iron pipe. Or possibly x-tra heavy cast iron would even be better. "Silence is Golden."Lots of luck Akmed I am having a bathroom added above the kitchen nook. The 4" pvc sewage pipe runs down through the corner of the nook. The plumber tells me that they should insulate this pipe heavily to reduce noise, but this will take more inches out of a small nook. Is there any other option? (e.g., a better grade of PVC that will muffle the noise better.
