HELP

We just bought a new house built in 1950 and in the first 7 days in, we have had a plumbing crisis.

There was a block in the main pipe from the house to the street caused by a root. We had it rootered but there is supposidly a hole in the pipe. The pipes are really old - CLAY and obviously need to be replaced. Here's my question.

The guy that rootered the pipe said we need 20 feet of new pipe from the house to the street. How much is reasonable to pay for this type of job?

Any advise would help. Thanks
PS I live in Southern California so freezing isn't a problem.
