Jet well that doesn\'t pump

We have a vertical jet pump well that does not pump water. The previous owner used it for watering the lawn and said it worked a year ago when we bought the property. I suspect it may only need priming. I don't see and plugs or orifices that appear to be for priming. Can you suggest a method of priming and maybe some on line resources that I could learn how this type of pump works? Thanks for your response.
