Relocating an in-ground pool filtration system

I would like to relocate my pool filtration system but am concerned that this will impact the effectiveness of the system. I have not been able to find anyone who could provide specifications on max. distance from source to filtration unit. Can you provide some insight? Note that I would like to relocate the filtration system to a location at the rear of the pool. Approximately 20 feet of added plumbing distance from current location. Thx, Tim
