: We are the only house on the street that is having a problem with our water preasure. We called the county water department and asked what the problem might be. The very nice lady informed me that it might be the "WATER PREASURE REDUCEING VALVE".

The PRV valve, "Pressure reducing valve" is located on the incoming water supply.

I have seen these right after the main shutoff in the home, and also right after the water meter.

They are fairly easy to replace.
