Thanks, but I'm not sure what W.C. stands for and is the 30 cu'@250' ratio for 1/2" pipe? doesn't that ratio change depending on the size of the pipe used? Is there a chart that shows, for a Natural Gas fixture rated 30'000btu's, what length is acceptable for a certain size/type pipe? : UPC code, 97, : : Terry, I have to extend a 1/2" galvi gas line(32') for the installation of a Fire-pit rated at 30,000 btu's. I'm knockin my head aginst the wall try'in to find a copy of the proper chart to size this line correctly. I know it exists in the code book, but I don't have a copy and really would never use it.The line is to be taken frome an existing 1/2" galvi nipple(currently live at 7psi") stubbed out the back of the house, intended for a barbacue hook-up. I'd like to continue with 1/2" but don't know if it's imperitive.
