Dudley:--To reestablish an air balance in your tank, it will be necessary to shut your pump off, and drain the water from the tank. You will have to vent the tank in order for the water to drain out. Most storage tanks have more than one plugged opening...open one near the top so that it won't be air locked and free to drain. When it's empty, replace the plug(s) and turn the pump back on, and you'll be good to go for a while. There is another way (if your pump isn't a submersible), and that is to install an AVC (air volume control), They cost less than $10.00, and automatically maintain an air charge in your storage tank...follow the instructions that comes with the device....Lots of luck..Ahrmand
