Since PVC joints are among the most forgiving when it comes to tightening them, the most likely reason would be that the gaskets are installed backwards. Otherwise moderate tightening should seal them properly.
: My kitchen sink drain pipes were leaking at all the PVC slip joints. Tried tightening the joints and finally replacing all the pipes, washers, etc. and it still leaks at most all joints. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for all your help.
