The Sloan is the most reliable valve. The 3.5 or 1.5 gpf is in the internal mechanism which is a simple drop-in retrofit for your quiet flush II. But if the toilet is not designed for 3.0 or 1.6 gpf, it may not flush properly. Replacing the entire valve would be a waste of money, unless you want a more modern external appearance.
