The Sloan is the most reliable valve. The 3.5 or 1.5 gpf is in the internal mechanism which is a simple drop-in retrofit for your quiet flush II. But if the toilet is not designed for 3.0 or 1.6 gpf, it may not flush properly. Replacing the entire valve would be a waste of money, unless you want a more modern external appearance. : The Sloan Quiet Flush II in my basement toilet recently stopped working properly. Rather than buy a replacement kit, I want to replace it with a newer : more water conservation-minded flush valve. Are there any 1.5 - 3.0 gpf flush valves, and if so, are they any good?
