It is not water hammer, it is water chatter caused by a bad washer or stem in the faucet. : When I turn on the taps, there is a loud shudder (a number of bangs). If I turn the taps on slowly, no : problem. If the garden hose is on, no problem so obviously pressure is involved. Is this a typical water : hammer situation. What can i do to alleviate this problem? : John
