In response to Re: Ceramic Fixture ADHESIVE ??
: I'm about finished re-TILING my bathroom , new tile on new Durrock (cement board) and ready to install the two 6" CORNER SOAP DISHES (which I allowed proper "cut-outs"). I was told by some Plumbers to use PLASTER OF PARIS as an ADHESIVE, yet others told me to use "PC7 EPOXY". I tend to agree that the PC-7 would be the "best" and obviously STRONGEST. I just want to "Ask the Experts" HERE, on this great BBS, exactly what THEY use !! THANKS !!

Wen, What's all the YELLING about? Plumbers don't install ceramic fixtures; tile setters do. Forget the epoxy and use the thin set you used to install your tiles onto the cement backer. Think about it. Ceramic tiles -- ceramic fixtures -- pretty much the same thing, eh?

Then just grout around the edges.
