If the air gap is installed below the level of the sink top, any backup in the sink or disposer will overflow out the gap and into the cabinet. : I'm remodeling my 1927 kitchen and am installing a wall mounted faucet fixture so there will be nothing : to interrupt the smooth countertop, except possibly the dishwasher air gap and cover. My question: Is : there a practical way to "conceal" the air gap (i.e. just under the countertop and behind the sink)? What : are the issues if I try this? : Thanks!
