The only way it can leak is if the "O" ring is defective or the copper stub is not long enough to go past the "O" ring. : I recently replaced a bad spout w/diverter button on a MOEN shower/tub fixture. It's the type that slides over 1/2 copper pipe. The new spout leaks from the set screw access hole when the diverter button is activated. I'm pretty sure the copper stub is long enough and the o-ring is intact. Any ideas on how to eliminate the leak?
