Kitchen sink drain odor

I have a four month new house with a double kitchen sink. one side has a GE disposal unit which drains to the other side pipe. a trap follows the common pipe just before going into the large waste to the sewer pipe. Should there be another trap just after the disposal unit? I have had this all apart and there was no blockage. I cleaned up all the fittings and put it back together. Still have odors.
