I use it only to heat a remote part of my house and it thermosyphens from my stove to a 20 gallon water tank in the bathroom. the run is about 15 feet and is elevated about 1" per ft. I can see no reason for a system set up for domestic hot water. Let me know how far you have gotten. Jim
