The mobile home heater has a retention bracket with it. If the old one has the bracket and you can unfasten it and use it with the new heater then there is no problem. : I'm needing to replace a water heater in mobile home. Any valid reason why (assuming it fits OK) I can't use a conventional home water heater. There is quite a difference in price. : BTW, it uses propane gas. : tx, mark
