The plumber could not change the position of the flange so if the toilet does not fit, something else had to happen. You may have to install a 10" toilet unless that is what you have already. : I have recently had to replace a 30 year old metal (welded) flange. when I went to place the toilet back on the new flange I found that the toilet sits fine on the floor/new flange, but my tank (and subsequently whole toilet now) sits to close to the back wall and won't fit. Can anybody help?
