i have a drilled well,with pump in well. the pressure tank bladder is at 30psi. the pressure switch is a 20/40. lately at more frequent intervals the pressure switch doesn't kick on at lower level and the guage goes to zero. you can then start it with a lever on the side and it is fine for awhile. we have lots of water as we can take showers and do wash quite sucessfully. the pressure switch has been in operation since 1985. i have cleaned contacts. Could the diaphram be faulty. it doesn't do it all the time.
