In response to adjust water pressure ??????????????????????
TURNING THE ADJUSTER SCREW IN, AS YOU HAVE DONE, INDREASES THE WATER PRESSURE. TURNING IT OUT (BACKING IT OUT) LOWERS THE WATER PRESSURE. THE JAM NUT IS ONLY TO PREVENT ACCICENTAL ADJUSTMENT, OR SELF ADUSTMENT DUE TO HIGH FREQUENCY WATER LINE VIBRATIONS. REGULATORS ARE DESIGNED TO PREVENT EXCESS PRESSURE FROM DAMAGING THINGS LIKE TOILETS AND HEATERS AND DISHWASHERS ETC. YOU CAN PURCHSASE A PRESSURE DIAL (FOR COMPRESSED AIR THAT READS FROM 0-100 OR 150 P.S.I.)FROM A HARDWARE OR TOOL STORE FOR $15 OR LESS AND FIT A GARDEN HOSE COUPLER TO IT TO TEST THE PRESSURE. JUST SCREW IT ON AN OUTSIDE GARDEN HOSE FAWCET AND 'READ' THE PRESSURE. NORMAL 'CITY' WATER PRESSURE IS 30-50 P.S.I. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LOW WATER PRESSURE IS USUALLY NOT THE PROBLEM, THE MORE COMMON PROBLEM IS 'FLOW RATE'. IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH WATER FAST ENOUGH, IT COULD BE THAT YOUR WATER LINES ARE CORRODING CLOSED, BLOCKING UP....JUST LIKE HARDENING OF THE ARTERIES. IF THE WATER FLOWS GOOD OVER AT YOUR NEIGHBORS HOUSE, THEN THE PROBLEM IS MOST LIKELY AT YOURS. THE CURE FOR THIS IS TO REPLACE THE WATER PIPES OR THE CONNECTIONS WHEREVER THE BLOCKAGE OCCURS. GOOD LUCK.
