I probably should let one of the master plumbers on this site answer that. I am just a handyman and home inspector. But I have a big mouth. hehe. I say yes, you can make the change. I looked in my plumbing book and vent stacks appear to make such turns. I did exactly what you are talking about once. Except I put in a doorwall and moved the vent stack.
