What type of toilet flange should I be using to install a basement toilet onto a cast iron pipe with a 3 7/8" i.d.? The house was built in the 50's and had the toilet removed years ago. I am adding a new bath to the basement and I'm not sure how to install the flange. I don't have any experience working with lead. I've seen a pvc flange with a rubber ring that appears to thread into the old cast iron pipe. Is this the way to go? |
