The washing machine in my current home empties into a laundry tub and then sent out to the septic tank. I place a pair of panty hose over the washing machine discharge line to capture any lint that might go into the septic. I am in the process of building a new home in which the laundry room washing machine connection will be directly behind the washer and built into the wall. The discharge pipe behind the washing machine won't allow the use of a lint collector. Will emptying dirty washing machine water directly into the septic system eventually damage the leach field or septic system since I won't be filtering all the lint? Thanks in advance. Stanley |
