Most showers have a minimum dimension of 32", so a centered drain would have to be at least 16" from the wall (assuming you don't need any space for plumbing the supply in front of the wall). Look for a drain pan with an off-center drain or grit your teeth and chop up some concrete to extend the drain. : I had a rough-in for the basement when our house was built. I am now ready to install the shower. The concrete cut for the drain only extends to a max of 15 inches from the back wall. The drain in the shower I have is centered at about 18. Did I purchase the wrong shower or did they cut the whole in the wrong place?
