The difference between installing them in the attic or floor is that your home owners insurance should cover the structural repairs from doing an under floor replacement. Installing them in the ceiling will usually mean that you pay for all the wall opening and patching. : I live in a house on a slab foundation. A leak has developed in the form of seepage coming out of the : garage (concrete) floor very close to where the washing machine is. My question is what are the : pro's and con's of rerunning the hot water pipes through the attic instead of tearing into the foundation to : repair the leak.
