|In response to Re: Vent stack offset|
Vent stacks can go just about anyway you need to. Just give them the normal 1/4" per foot to permit drainage of condensation and you will have no problems.
: I am doing an extensive remodel of the top floor of my house that will require a 3" existing vent swack, which currently goes straight up through the roof, to be offset about 5 feet within the second floor joist space, then be run inside an exterior wall to the roof, where it will offset again a few feet before penetrating the roof.
: Is this permittable by code, and if so, what is the required pitch of the horizontal portion of the vent?
