By removing the cartridge you have broken the vacuum in the system, so the water is going to try to run out of this opening.My suggestion would be is to open a faucet or valve somewhere in the house that is lower than the bathtub valve.Perhaps a valve in the basement. That should cause the water to be directed to this lower faucet, allowing you to make the repairs to the bathtub faucet.Marty |
