It is probably a burned out element. Before replacing anything, you should check all the circuits to find the problem. : My water heater is only 1.5 years old and we are having trouble with it tripping the circuit breaker now it wont stay on at all we have replaced the switch and it is still not working we do have very hard water so could it be sedement causing it to overheat and shut it down???? Please help
