Air in Water Pipes

My home is on well water. We have lived in this 26 year old home for 6 weeks. In the last 3 weeks we have experienced severe bursts of air through the water pipes weather it be in the kitchen or batch. It seems to be more severe when the hot water faucet is turned on. Just to let you know the electric water heater is 2 years old and the house piping and pressure tanks are less than 10 years old. Our well is in a sandy area; 180 ft deep and I flush the sand filter for 15 minutes at a time once a month. Please advise what is causing this air to build up in the pipes and burst out when the faucet is turned on. Please advise solutions if any. Thank you.
