I own an older home and the water is a problem in the basement. I have been told that the best thing to do is put in a french drain. 1. How far from the wall must it be? 2. How deep? 3. What is the best tool? 4. If a concrete saw is used, is a diamond blade better? I have read about drilling holes and putting on vinal strips and have it drain in the sump. I think $11.00 is a bit to much for a 4' 6'' piece of plastic. And the rest of the kit is also costly. Thanks for the assistance, Earl wet in PA! |
