If it is an ISE or one if its relatives, there is an opening for a 1/4" allen wrench in the middle of the bottom, which you can use to move it back and forth until it unjams. Otherwise you need two broomsticks inside the disposer to rotate the cutters. : My garbage disposal hums but doesn't spin. I would like to learn to fix it myself.
