|In response to Re: toilet flange not level|
: I had a certified plumber install a basement bathroom a few months ago. The flange is not level in the floor but he said it didn't matter. He built it up with 2 plastic additions on top (flange builder-uppers?) and had one ring of wax. We finally noticed the toilet is leaking under the linoleum on the wood subfloor. All he is planning on doing to repair the leak is add another wax ring. So he will be putting on 2 wax rings. I asked him again about the flange not being level and he said it doesn't matter. Is this correct or should I have another plumber in? I had him leave the toilet off to let the wood floor dry up and so I could clean it with bleach. The wood has gone black.
