At 2AM, with no water running, the hot water heater suddenly starts a loud, intermittant popping noise. From reading other postings it sounds like it is sediment in the tank and not a dangerous condition. It never does it during the day - why? It also has only started now that it is cold out. Could it be something else and not sediment? Thanks! |
