Followup question: I see that the regulator for my gas logs set is screwed to a metal plate on the bottom left hand side of the gas log set. The regulator has input that will fit my black pipe and output is a brass fitting on a silver colored bendable tubing that goes to the gas valve for the log set. It looks like I could attach the regulator dirctly to the black pipe that did feed my fireplace starter. I think the tubing is long enough to reach the gas log set gas valve with no additional connectors. My original fireplace starter has a shut off valve right beside the fireplace to service this installation. Do I have it correct and safe? |
