|In response to Re: gas dryer venting options|
How about absolutely positively not. A few problems would be the lint building up in the chimney and creating a fire hazard, lint blocking the chimney, gas fumes getting into the dryer.
: My gas dryer currently vents into my garage (which has no living space above it). I would rather not vent into the garage as I keep my tools there. The gas water heater vents into the nearby chimney. Would I be able to vent my dryer into the chimney as well? Would the moisture from the steam damage the masonry of the chimney?
