There is a rubber clamp that is made to join PVC to the bell housing on the cast iron pipe. I just need to know the best way to remove the 90 degree elbow from the 'Y' connector. : If you do not cut the pipe, how are you going to join the PVC to the cast iron? Especially if you melt the lead joint out? You cannot repour the lead joint without melting the PVC. : : I am going to change out some of the cast iron joints to a toilet I have in my basement with PVC.
